JOIN THE AHE

TEAM

Thank you so much for your interest in joining Amber Hansen Events!

Amber Hansen Events is growing, and I'm looking for someone who wants to do more than assist at weddings. This position is designed to grow into a Lead Wedding Coordinator role, eventually managing AHE day-of and month-of weddings independently. You'll begin by shadowing / working alongside me on wedding days, learning the systems, standards, and client experience behind AHE. As you gain experience and confidence, you'll take on greater responsibility with the goal of eventually leading your own AHE weddings. I'm not necessarily looking for someone who already knows how to be a wedding planner. I'm looking for someone with the instincts, personality, and work ethic to become an exceptional one.

EXPERIENCE THAT TRANSLATES WELL | Professional wedding experience is a plus, but it's not required.

Some of the best skills for this role are developed outside of weddings. We'd especially love to meet someone with experience in:

• Hospitality or restaurants
• Management or team leadership
• Events or catering
• Camps or youth programming
• Customer service
• Retail management
• Project or administrative management
• Other fast-paced, people-focused environments

If you've learned how to think on your feet, take care of people, lead when needed, and stay composed when things get busy, we want to hear from you.

YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF...

  • You naturally notice what needs to be done and jump in.

  • You're comfortable making everyday decisions without needing constant reassurance.

  • You can be given the goal and figure out how to get there.

  • You stay calm, pleasant, and solution-focused when plans change.

  • You're warm, approachable, and genuinely enjoy taking care of people.

  • You know when to solve something yourself and when something truly needs to be brought to the lead.

  • You receive feedback well, adjust, and keep moving.

  • You're confident communicating with couples, families, vendors, and venue teams.

  • You can read a room and understand when to lead, when to support, and when to simply listen.

  • You're interested in learning the AHE way and eventually taking ownership of your own weddings.

Our goal is to create an experience where our couples feel fully present, supported, and taken care of.

The person in this role plays a key part in that, through both execution and the energy they bring into the room.

Wedding days require flexibility, good judgment, and a willingness to keep moving even when things don't go exactly according to plan.

This role may not be the right fit if you:

  • You prefer step-by-step direction throughout your shift.

  • You regularly need reassurance before making small decisions.

  • Unexpected changes easily throw you off.

  • You struggle receiving constructive feedback.

  • You're uncomfortable talking with people you don't know.

  • You're primarily attracted to the pretty side of weddings.

  • You want occasional weekend work rather than the potential for greater responsibility.

  • Your weekend availability is inconsistent.

Your role will start with:

  • Paid shadowing/training

  • Wedding-day setup + styling

  • Supporting timeline execution

  • Helping with ceremony/reception transitions

  • Vendor + guest support

  • Breakdown and packing

  • Learning AHE systems

YOU'LL GROW INTO:

  • Managing assigned coordination clients

  • Leading final-details meetings

  • Finalizing timelines/layouts

  • Vendor communication

  • Running rehearsals

  • Leading wedding-day execution

  • Managing your own assistant

  • Becoming the primary AHE point person on the wedding day

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Based in or near Cincinnati

  • Weekend availability required

  • Reliable transportation

  • Comfortable committing to dates months in advance

  • Comfortable with 10–12+ hour wedding days

  • Able to be active/on your feet for extended periods

  • Professional and polished client-facing presence

  • Reliable communication

  • Comfortable using email, Google Workspace, Canva and learning Aisle Planner

  • Experience a plus

*Compensation
Starting : $20–$25/hour, based on experience and level of responsibility. This role is intentionally designed for growth. Compensation increases as you progress from training and assisting into independently leading AHE weddings.

We care deeply about the experience we create for both our couples and our team. If you're someone who values kindness, initiative, growth, meaningful work, beautiful details, travel, and a good cup of coffee... you'll probably feel right at home here.
